MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />NOVEMBER 10, 1998 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 10°i day of <br />November, 1998 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at <br />515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Acting Mayor Beverly Scalze called the meeting to order at 6:35 P.M. and <br />the foitowing members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COLTNCIL: <br />Acting Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Mrs . Fahey <br />Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />CITY The purpose of this evening's workshop meeting is to conduct the <br />ADMINIS- annual performance evaluation of the City Administrator. The Council <br />TRATOR'S began that evaluation by rating the Administrator on "Or~anizational <br />PERFORMANCE Management". Morelan ranked the Administrator at "E", Exceeds <br />EVALUATION Expectations. He commented that the Administrator continues to do an <br /> excellent job in the area, noting the upgrades to computer hardware and <br /> software, and opportunities which are present in replacing the <br /> Receptionist/Secretary position. Morelan commended the Administrator <br /> on the exceltent job of recruiting several new employees, selection of a <br /> new City Engineer and Electrical Inspector, and noted that complaints to <br /> the Council are non-existent. Scalze provided a rating of "M", Meets <br /> Expectations. She commented that staff seems to be developin~ well. <br /> Sug~estions for improvement related to code enforcement. <br /> Commendations noted excellent follow-through and no complaints to the <br /> Council. Scalze noted that the Administrator's reports in Council <br /> meetings are concise and that he has an efficient use of words. Pederseds <br /> ranking was "E" commenting that the policies of the Council get <br /> implemented. LaValle provided a rankin~ of "E" commenting that the <br /> Administrator delegates well, is excellent with the public, and is very well <br /> organized. <br />
