MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />DUNE 239 2025 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota, was convened on the 23dday of June 2025 in the Council Chambers of the City Center <br />located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Tom Fischer called the meeting to order at 7:3 5 pm., and the following members of the City <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Fischer, Council Members Malone, Kwapick, and Miller. <br />Absent: Council Member Gutierrez. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Acting City Administrator Laura Linehan, Community Development Director <br />Ben Harrington, and City Clerk/HR Manager Heidi Heller. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />V12 A1111 �II �'i il 11 110 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Kwapick. <br />Ayes (4). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />The Acting City Administrator reminded residents of a road closure at Demont Avenue, which will <br />begin the following day and will be about one week in length. She asked resident to register their <br />block party for Night to Unite by July 20th. <br />None. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />CONSIDER ORDINANCE 918, EXTENSION OF COMCAST FRANCHISE FEE <br />AGREEMENT <br />The Acting City Administrator stated that the Council is holding a public hearing to consider an <br />extension of a Comcast franchise fee agreement and provided additional background information. She <br />stated that following a long renewal process with negotiations between the Cable Commission and <br />Comcast, a fee has been agreed upon and, therefore, an extension for the agreement is being <br />recommended. <br />Miller provided additional information on the PEG fee that is included in the agreement that would go <br />to the Cable Commission. He explained that those funds are then used for capital equipment and <br />operating expenses, which lowers the cost to the cities. <br />
