MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 17, 1998 <br />However, the City's property is located on hi~her ~round than their <br />mobilehome park is. <br />Fahey stated that unless any other Council Members have a different <br />opinion; the selling of a portion of this property for a storm shelter for <br />Five Star Mobilehome Park is not consistent with the City's vision for this <br />property. <br />ROUND LAKE The Council reviewed City staff's recommendation that Round Lake Trail <br />TRAIL Townhomes be aliowed to remove the blacktop that had been <br />TOWNHOME maintained for an emergency access road. Both the Fire Chief and Fire <br />ACCESS Marshal have indicated that the road is no longer necessary. It was noted <br />ROAD that the City would retain utility easements in this area. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI.UTIONNO. 98-12-296 -APPROVING THE REMOVAL OF <br />BLACKTOP FOR ROUND LAKE TRAIL TOWNHOMES <br />EMERGENCYACCESS ROAD AS RECOMMENDED 73Y CITY <br />STAFFAND INSTRUCTING THE CITYADMINISTRATOR TO <br />PREPARE AN AMENDMENT TO THE DEVELOPMENT <br />AGREEMENT DEI.ETING THE REQUIREMENT FOR THIS <br />ACCESS ROAD <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Fahey, Scalze, Morelan, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />RICE STREET/ Chris Moarn appeared before the Council reporting that he is working <br />LITTLE CANADA with a tenant interested in office space on the property located at <br />ROAD the northeast corner of Little Canada Road and Rice Street. In order <br />REDEVELOP- to meet the needs of this tenant, plan approvals would have to be <br />MENT UPDATE finalized by April 1, 1999. Moarn submitted some conceptual drawings <br />for the Council's review, and reported that he is working with both his and <br />the City's financial consultants on this project. Moarn stated that a <br />preliminary development agreement for this project will need to be <br />finalized before the end of the year. Moarn stated that at the next City <br />Council meeting he would hope that the financial details would be <br />confirmed. <br />Scalze asked about the U.S. Bank property. The City Administrator <br />reported that the proposal is that Mr. Moarn pursue this property. <br />However, the bank site is not critical to construction of the building, but <br />16 <br />
