MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JANUARY 14, 1999
CANADA ROAD property at the northeast corner of Rice Street and Little Canada Road.
REDEVELOP- Without a signed lease agreement, there will be no project. The
MENT Administrator reported that he tried to contact the prospective tenant, C.I.
Title, but has not been successful.
Scalze reported that she heard that C.I.Title is of the understanding that the
City is dragging its feet on the project. The Administrator reported that
that is the purpose of his contacting C.I. Title to inform them that the City
is ready to move forward with a project. The Administrator a(so informed
the Council that the City could have development agreement ready for
signature in less than a week. However, Moarn will not be able to
structure financing for the project without a signed (ease.
EDGERTON The Public Works Director reported that he has met with Ramsey County
STREET on the Ed~erton Street project. The County is suggesting a thin mill and
IMPROVEMENT overlay of the street at this time. The
thin overlay will help the road to handle the additional traffic which will
likely use Edgerton during the interchange project.
It was the consensus ofthe Council to inform the County to proceed with
the thin mill and overlay of Edgerton at this time.
WORKSHOP Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
W ITH
PARKS & RE.SOI.UTIONNO. 99-1-13 - CAI.LINC, FORA WORKSHOP
RECREATION MEETINC WITH THE PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION
COMMISSION FOR WEDNESDAY, FEI3RUARY 24, 1999 AT 6 P.M.
The foregoin~ resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen.
Ayes (5) Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey, LaValle.
Nays (0).
