TIF inay be necessary to help with the development of an <br />upscale building. <br />The Mayor and Council indicated that TIF inay be an option if the City <br />would get a higher use on the property. <br />Sca(ze pointed out that Ryan Industrial Park is being upgraded through the <br />City's code enforcement efforts. <br />Kalscheuer stated that TIF would make development of the site worth <br />pursuing. Told Development is excited about the prospect if the City is <br />the City is wi(ling to work with them. <br />Scalze stated that the City wants the highest and best use of the site. It is <br />one of the nicest pieces the City has left to develop. TIF could be used to <br />the City's and developer's mutual benefit. <br />Morelan agreed with the Council's comments. He would like to see an <br />outstanding building developed on this site. Morelan stated that he would <br />like to see a development that adds to the City's tax base as well as creates <br />jobs. Morelan indicated his willingness to look at TIF. <br />Pedersen asked if a campus setting was out of the question. <br />Kalscheuer replied that 7 acres would be needed to work with to achieve a <br />development with a campus settin~. Kalscheuer also indicated that the <br />definition of"campus" is somewhat subjective. It may be possible with <br />some of the amenities that are present.
