MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 27, 1999 noted the good job that the developers have done with other projects, and noted that greater densities are typically seen in townhome developments. Fahey stated that he would support the plat as presented, but indicated that he did not like the process. Fahey felt that an a~reement was necessary to address the berm and landscaping issues. Morelan agreed that landscaping and buffering needed to be addressed. Frattalone indicated that he was agreeable to providing a five-year bond to ensure that the landscaping will be maintained. Fahey suggested that a letter was necessary from Slumberland agreeing to Frattalone's landscaping of the berm and subsequent maintenance. Scalze asked about the open space east of Lot 1 along DeSoto Street. Frattalone reported that this would be open space again pointing out the possibility of diverting a future improvement of DeSoto Street further west. It was suggested that an easement be obtained for this area pointing out the storm sewer that exists in this location.
