MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 24, 1999 <br />WOODS N WATEREquipment stores that have been very successful. He now has one Woods <br />& Water Once Again store and would like to open a second in Little <br />Canada. Woods & Water wou(d sell sporting goods equipment. 95% of <br />its merchandise would be new, but 5% would be gently used hunting, <br />fishing, and sporting goods equipment. Enrico reported that he is planning <br />a total of eight Woods & Water Once A~ain stores for the metro area. <br />Stock would come from closeouts, returns, manufacture overstocks. This <br />merchandise would be priced at I S to 20 percent less than dealer cost and <br />would appeal to the economically sensitive. <br />Morelan asked if used guns would also be sold at the store. Enrico <br />reported that they would, and noted the many regulatory bodies which <br />firearms purchases and sales, indicating that they would observe all <br />statutes. <br />Enrico reported that the store would not be a pawn shop, but would <br />purchase used goods or accept goods in trade. They reserve the right to <br />deny to purchase. <br />There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by Morelan, seconded by LaValle, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the followin~ resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI. DICK ENRICO <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Morelan, Fahey, Scalze. <br />Nays (0).
