MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
APRIL 14, 1999
Bougie repoi~ted that the fence on the Kandice Heights properties makes
traffic visibility difficult. LaValle pointed out that the property owners in
the area insisted that the fence be installed as a part of the Kandice Heights
development.
The City Administrator reported that it will be approximately two weeks
before the City knows if the office development concept for the north site
is feasible. The Administrator reported that he will try to meet with all the
property owners involved, both on the north piece and the south piece to
determine their willingness to sell.
Quirin asked if picnic tables would be installed along the pond. Allen
reported that he had not gotten that far in the planning stage for this
project, but agreed it would be a good idea. Allen pointed out the steep
slope to the creek, but suggested some terracing would address this
problem to turn the area into an amenity.
Bougie asked the status of the historical marker that Quicksilver was to
install in the area. City staff reported that they would determine the status
of this marker.
Elaine Zoch suggested that if any houses are purchased as part of the
redevelopment, that they be made available for relocation within the City.
The City Administrator reported that these efforts have been made in the
past, and the City would do the same on any future acquisitions. It was
pointed out that any houses that are relocated would have to meet all
building codes.
Fahey thanked everyone present for their comments and reported that
interested property owners would be notified of upcoming meetings on
this issue.
There being no further business, the workshop was adjourned at 7:05 P.M.
~ ~i.r~ ,~ (~~~tz~~/ ~%-. .
ich ei I.
