MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 20, 1999 <br />Drake reported that they had originally brought a proposal to the City last <br />September of what they thought they would do with the land. However, <br />when Perry Linn approached them with his concept they stopped working <br />on their proposal since they thought they had the land sold. After they <br />could not come to terms with Perry Linn, Drake repoirted that they started <br />working on their plans again. Drake also reported that they have been <br />concentrating on the one operating business on the property, that is the car <br />wash. Work on the abandoned building waited until spring since it was <br />difficult to do anything with that building during the winter. <br />Fahey also pointed out the existin~ code issues that have not been resolved <br />on the property. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following ordinance and moved its adoption: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 484 - AN INTERIM ORDINANCE <br />ESTAI37ISHING A MORATORIDM ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2600, 2616, AND 2620 RICE STREET FOR A PEffiOD OF 90 DAYS <br />WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THAT THE CITY WILL MOVE <br />FORWARI) AS QUICKLYAS POSSII3I.E AND WILL LIFT TfIE <br />MORATORIUM PRIOR TO 90 DAYS IF THE ISSUES ARE <br />RESOI.VED 13EFORE THAT TIME <br />The fore~oin~ resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, LaValle, Fahey, Scalze, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ADJOURN Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />R ESOI.
