DEBT LEVY The City Administrator reported that the Debt Levy Reduction Committee REDUCTION has requested a workshop with the Council so that they can present their COMMITTEE- report. Once that workshop is held, the would plan to present their report CALL FOR to the public utilizin~ the public hearing process. Y2K UPDATE The Code Enforcement Officer present the Council with an update on the status ofthe City's efforts relating to Y2K readiness. SUMP PUMP The City Administrator reported that in preparing information for a data INSPECTION practices compliance request, he came across a State Statute which PROGRAM requires that City's conduct a public hearing prior to the adoption of a sump pump inspection program. Although neighborhood meetings were held on this topic, a formal public hearing was not. Therefore it was the Administrator's recommendation that a hearing be held on Tuesday, May 25°i Mr. Moretan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: 22
