MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JUNE 8, 1999 Pedersen pointed out that if the City needed information on before and after assessments for use in reconsidering its assessment policy, a more generic situation would result in more usable information. Morelan pointed out that the amount of assessments to other property owners on Minnesota Avenue is dependent on the assessment to Cobblestone Village. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOI.IITION NO. 99-G-136 - INSTRUCTING CITY STAFF TO 073TAIN ADDITIONAL QUOTES FOR A 73EFORE AND AFTER APPRAISAI, OF THE COI373LESTONE VILI.AGE ASSESSMENT The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (2) Morelan, Scalze. Nays (3) Fahey, LaValle, Pedersen. Resolution denied. Ray Thul, President of Cobblestone Village Townhome Association, asked when they will know about the assessment and the process involved. The Administrator explained that once project costs are known, an assessment estimaYe will be calculated and then a public hearing held to discuss the proposed assessment with affected property owners. That hearing is likely to be held in October.
