MINUTES CTTY COUNCIL JITLY 28, 1999 ISSITE Scalze noted that she was not aware that the City of Vadnais F3eights was draining an apartment complex parking lot into this azea. Morelan pointed out that the City Engineer has suggested that a catch basin be enlarged on the north side of County Road D. Morelan asked if the County will enlarge this catch basin. The City Administrator anticipated that the City Engineer's recommendations will be complied with, and indicated that he will contact the County to determine if this catch basin will be enlarged. Scalze asked if drainage is flowing over private property. The City . Administrator indicated that ultimately the drainage will get into the Kohlman basin. F3e also pointed out that this improvement project will not change drainage patterns, but will stabilize the bank, eliminate erosion, and provide a long-term solution for the area. The Administrator noted that the sedimentation pond will require periodic cleaning by the City, and he anticipated that this could be done with minimal effort using the City's vactortnxck. Morelar. asked if the County and Vadnais Heights have approved their cost participation in the project. The City Administrator anticipated that those approvals would be coming soon. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION NO. 99-7-195 - APPROVING THE CITY'S COST PARTICIPATION IN MAPLE LEAF COURT DRAINAGE CORRECTIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $16, 020 AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITYADMINISTRATOR The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. Ayes (5) Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey, LaValle. Nays (0), Resolution declared adopted.
