MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
AUGUST 11, 1999
Valento reported that he must return to Florida within the next two weeks for
medical treatment. Therefore, Valento asked for an extension until next summer
to get the paving, striping and fencing installed.
Morelan pointed out that the City has been requiring compliance with CUP
conditions by the end of the year. Va(ento reported that he would give the City
a letter indicating his agreement to complete the work by next year.
The Zoning Administrator pointed out that if the extension is allowed for Mr.
Valento, the improvements on the Jacobsen property will also require an
extension as these properties are adjacent and the property owners would make
the improvements as a joint project.
Valento reported that due to the difficult grades on these properties, it would be
necessary to coordinate the two improvements.
Fahey asked if any other extensions have been requested. The Zoning
Administrator reported that the other property owners are moving forward with
their improvements.
The City Administrator pointed out that Mr. Valento has reported some
extenuating circumstances as the basis for his request.
There was no one from the public present wishing to comment on this matter.
Upon motion by Morelan, seconded by Fahey, the public hearing was closed.
Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTIONNO. 99-8-203 -APPROVING THE CONDITIONAL USE
PERMIT FOR OPENAND OUTDOOR STORAGE OF CONSTRUCTION
EQUIPMENT AND MATERIAI.S A.S A PRINCIPI.E USE FOR ONE
I3USINESS, AND EQDIPMENT AND MATERIAI.S AS ANACCESSORY
USE FOR ANOTHER BUSINESS AT 3179 SPRUCE.STREET SU73JECT
TO COMPI.IANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE
PI.ANNING COMMISSION, N'ITH THE REDUCTION IN THE AMOUNT
OF PARKING SPACES REQUIRED FROM I S TO 1l I3ASED ON THE
NEW INFORMATION PROVIDED I3Y MR.
