MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 22, 1999 <br />and $232,000, and the Fire Department will use additional gambling <br />monies to cover the remaining balance. <br />Morelan asked who will purchase the truck. The City Administrator <br />reported that the Fire Department will make the purchase, noting that the <br />Fire Department is exempt from paying sales tax on this purchase. The <br />Administrator also pointed out the purchase policy the City and Fire <br />Department have agreed to which provides that in the event the <br />Department were disbanded, the City would retain rights to all equipment. <br />The Administrator reported that the purchase works from a budget <br />standpoint and indicated that the Fire Department has done an excellent <br />job in working on this purchase. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RE.S'OL iITION NO. 99-9-256 - APPRO vING THE EXPENDITURE <br />OF $115, 000 FROM THE CAPIT,97.
