MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 20, 1999 <br />Village is too small and is located very close to two homes. However, the <br />second lift of blacktop will funnel water into the gutters and them directly <br />into the catch basins. A provision for overflow relief has also been <br />provided through the Little Canada Mall/RJ Marco properties. <br />Chuck Midlenberg reported that there are several signs that have been <br />pulled out along the street as well as a few sandbags lying around. The <br />City Engineer indicated that he wil( have the contractor re-install the signs <br />and clean up the area. <br />There was no one else from the public present wishin~ to comment on this <br />matter. <br />Upon motion by Morelan, seconded by Scalze, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mayor Fahey noted that no objections have been filed relative to this <br />assessment. <br />Morelan thanked the neighborhood for working with the City on this <br />project, and felt that a reasonable solution was worked out with regard to <br />the assessments. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RE,SOLUTION NO. 99-IO-I90 -APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE <br />ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR IMPROVEMENT NO. 98-24, <br />MINNESOTA A vENUE FROM RICE STREET TO ITS <br />TERMINATION AS A PI773I.IC RIC:HT-OF-WAYAT THE EAST <br />ENTRANCE OF C073I3I,ESTONE VILLAGE 73Y STREET <br />RECONSTRUCTION, CONCRETE CURB AND GUTTER, <br />CONCRETE DRI vEWAY APRONS, AND STORM SEWER WITH <br />ASSESSMENTS TO BE SPREAD OVER TEN YEARS AT SEVEN <br />PERCENT INTEREST <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (3) Morelan, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />BROOKS Mayor Fahey opened the public hearin~ to consider the assessment for <br />AVENUE the improvement of East Brooks Avenue lying between Morrison Avenue <br />and Savage Lane street reconstruction, concrete curb and ~utter, storm <br />sewer, and concrete drive. <br />
