MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 27, 1999 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />DELINQUENT Morelan asked whether or not the $25.00 certification fee for delinquent <br />UTILITY, accounts covered the City's costs in assessing these balances. The City <br />REFUSE, AND Administrator reported that in addition to the $25.00 certification fee, <br />TALSE ALARM these accounts received 10% penalties for each quarter they were <br />ACCOUNTS delinquent. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RE.SOI.UTION NO. 99-I0-214 - CERTIFYING DELINQUENT <br />UTTLITY, REFUSE, AND FAI.,SE AI.ARMACCOUNTS TO <br />PROPERTY TAXES AS RECOMMENDED 73Y CITY STAFF <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />GU~RIN The City Attorney reported that the notice of appeal relative to the Guerin <br />PROPERTY property is for Council information. A motion has been filed and will be <br />heard in the middle of November regarding disposition of funds. The <br />Attorney reported that he will keep the Councii informed on these matters. <br />RESIDENTIAL The City Planner reported that he has put some proposed standards <br />MONUMENT together relative to residential monument signs. However, he would like <br />SIGNS to defer action on these standards at this time in order to given him an <br />opportunity to review the standards with Gordie Howe of Masterpiece <br />Homes. <br />Morelan asked what was driving this issue. The City Planner replied that <br />in Pitrina Park an entrance island was put in place for the purpose of <br />constructing a residential monument sign. In considering this issue, it <br />became apparent that this City needs a set of standards and guidelines for <br />re~ulating this type of si~na~e. The issue also may arise with the <br />proposed townhome development at Jackson and Little Canada Road. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />15 <br />
