It was the consensus of the Council that
the fee be allocated to the General Capital Improvement Fund. Scalze
noted that the fee could then be used to offset the cost of ballfield lighting
in Pioneer Park.
Mr. Morelan introduced the Followin~ resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOL UTION NO. 99-11-248 - ALLOCATINC THE MONTREAL
COURTS FEE IN LIEU OF TAXES TO THE GENERAL CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT FUNI)
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, LaValle, Fahey.
Nays (0). It was noted that while the low bid is over-estimate, the cost
had been estimated in 1996, therefore, an inflationary adjustment was
necessary. The low bid also included a wireless control system and a
manufacturer's warranty which were not factored into the original
estimate.
Morelan asked if the General Capital Improvement Fund would still work
given this increased cost. The Administrator replied that it would.
Scalze suggested that grants be pursued for this project, and suggested that
the County Commissioners be contacted for information and support.
Mr. Fahey introduced the followin~ resolution and moved its adoption:
RE.SOI,UTIONNO. 99-1 T-249 -AWARDING TFIE LOW I37D OF
EI.ECTRIC.SERVICE COMPANYIN THE AMOUNT OF $265,389
FOR 7.IGHTINCi OF 13AI.L FIEI,DS IN PIONEER PARK BA.SED ON
THE RECOMMENDA7ION OF THE PARKS & RECREATION
DIRECTOR
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan.
Ayes (5) Fahey, Morelan, Scalze, LaValle, Pedersen.
Nays (0).
