MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />NOVEMBER 22, 1999 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 22"d day of <br />November, 1999 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at <br />515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at 6:17 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br /> CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Fahey <br /> Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br /> Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br /> Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br /> Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br /> ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br /> Deputy Clerk Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />CITY The purpose of tonight's meeting is to conduct the performance <br />ADMINIS- evaluation ofthe City Administrator. <br />TRATOR' S <br />PERFORMANCE The first area of responsibility rated was Organizational Management. <br />EVALUATION The Mayor ranked the Administrator at `Bxcellent" commenting that the <br /> Administrator has developed a talented staff that focuses on results and <br /> works effectively as a team. He suggested that the Administrator continue <br /> to monitor individual performance and ensure desired performance <br /> standards are met. He commended the Administrator on his retention of <br /> Elizabeth Mursko and her code enforcement activities. <br />Morelan ranked the Administrator at "E" in this area commenting that he <br />continues to do an excellent job and has developed an eff"icient and <br />harmonious staff He commended the administrator on his reallocation of <br />positions resulting in the Code Enforcement Officer/Assistant to the City <br />Administrator position. He also commented on the contract with North <br />Suburbs Access Corporation to fill the vacancy ofthe Cable TV Producer. <br />Other areas noted was the Administrator's handling of the Cobblestone <br />Village assessment issue as well as sug~estion for notice to the general <br />public for concept development reviews. <br />
