MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 22, 1999 <br />the performance standards listed on the evaluation form and has been able <br />to cultivate this same philosophy in many of his subordinates. Morelan <br />suggested that the Administrator be encouraged to attend the annual City <br />Administrators' Conference. <br />The Administrator indicated that the City has an excellent staff as well as <br />an excellent City Council. He acknowledged that things are not always <br />done correctly, and voiced his appreciation to the Councii for backing up <br />staff and ~iving them the benefit of the doubt. <br />The Administrator agreed it would be good to sit down as a smaller group <br />and work on a two-year vision for the City. With regard to the City <br />Garage issue, he noted that putting this item in the budget was a means of <br />beginning the discussion. <br />The Administrator indicated that he is involved with the Ramsey County <br />League of Local Governments as well as the Lea~ue of Minnesota Cities <br />Service Delivery Committee and the Minnesota City/County Managers' <br />Planning Committee. He noted that the Sheriff's group is beginning to <br />change somewhat and he is hoping for improvements in this area. <br />The Administrator indicated that he will continue with his best efforts, and <br />asked the Council to let him know of any concerns they might have. <br />Fahey suggested a bonus for the City Administrator for the extra efforts he <br />has provided over the past year. Fahey felt that Little Canada had one of <br />the most excellent administrators in the metro area. Fahey suggested a <br />bonus of $2,500, and indicated that he would bring this matter for Council <br />action at this evening's Council meeting. <br />There being no further business, the workshop was adjourned at 7:00 p.m <br />I.
