MINUTES CITY COUNCIL DECEMBER 15, 1999 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) Morelan, LaValle, Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. 2000 CONTRACT The City Administrator reported that the contract document with the WITH FIRE Little Canada Fire Department has been amended to reflect that DEPARTMENT services beyond First Responder will be provided by the State of Minnesota. That item is no longer a cost component of this agreement. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RE.SOI.UTIONNO. 99-12-270-APPROVING TFIE CONTRACT WITH THE I.ITTI.E CANADA FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR SERVICES DURING 2000 AS AMENDED AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITYAI)MINI,STRATOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT ON I3EHALF OF TtIE CITY OF LITTI.E CANADA The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, LaValle, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. HIGHWAY 36 The City Administrator reported that the State will be makin~ PROJECT improvements to Hi~hway 36 and have asked that they be allowed to do the mill and overlay of the highway surface at night in order to minimize impact on traffic. This portion of the work is expected to take one to two days. The Administrator pointed out that the City's noise ordinance allows for exceptions. However, property owners within 500 feet of the project will need to be notified.
