Xcel Energy is responsible for the maintenance and <br />operation of gas pipelines, ensuring reliable delivery and adherence to safety regulations. The company <br />also offers programs aimed at energy efficiency and conservation. <br />2.6.3.3 Electricity <br />Xcel Energy also provides a significant portion of the county with electricity. The company offers various <br />programs, including renewable energy options, rebates for energy-efficient appliances, and initiatives to <br />help customers reduce their energy usage. Other utility providers in the area include Dakota Electric <br />Association and the City of Saint Paul, which offers electricity services to some residents. <br />2.6.3.4 Transportation <br />Comprehensive transportation infrastructure that encompasses an extensive network of roads, <br />highways, and public transit systems, which are crucial for the mobility of residents and the efficiency of <br />local commerce. The county manages approximately 250 miles of roads.
