MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br /> AUGUST 13, 2009 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br /> Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 13th day of <br /> August, 2009 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br /> Little Canada Road in said City. <br /> Vice Chair Tom Duray called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br /> following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION: Mr. Tom Duray <br /> Mr. Scott Barraclough <br /> Mr. Michael Everson <br /> Mr. Tom Fischer <br /> Mr. Jon Hall <br /> ABSENT: Mr. Dan Knudsen <br /> Mr. Chuck Pechmann <br /> ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br /> Mr. Kevin I3elander, Cable TV <br /> Ms. Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br /> <br /> MINUTES The July 9, 2009 Planning Commission meeting minutes were approved as <br /> submitted. <br /> CUP - Mr. Duane Dahlstrom, 2221 McMenemy Road, appeared before the <br /> 2221 Commission requesting a Conditional Use Permit so that he can construct <br /> McMENEMY a second garage on his property. Dahlstrom noted that he already has an <br /> ROAll - 880 square foot detached garage, and would like to construct a 620 square <br /> DAHLSTROM foot attached garage. Dahlstrom pointed out that his property consists of <br /> two acres. <br /> Duray noted that Dahlstrom is also proposing to construct a wood shop on <br /> his house. The City Planner indicated that that was correct, but pointed <br /> out that as long as the wood shop is attached to the home and cannot <br /> function as a garage, it is not subject to the CUP requirement. <br /> Duray asked Dahlstrom his plans for the garage. Dahlstrom replied that <br /> personal vehicles would be stored in the attached garage. The detached <br /> garage would be used for storing two older cars and some 4-wheelers that <br /> <br />
