Essentially, they have two categories of requests,
The first relates to signage that would be "inferim" signage until permanent signs can be
erected once building remodeling is complete and tenant spaces are finalized. The
second category relates to temporary signage that they would like to have built into their
PUD request as ongoing temporary sign allowances for the site.
The below attachment' of- the 6 areas that HOM is proposing for the
opening of the former Levitz building as interim signage while we
do our remodeling. What we are requesting is that we will
restrict signs to these S areas identified on the building and
the existing pylon. We will be remodeling different areas of the
building and L-he signage will be moved within these areas
depending on where we are at in the remodeling process at any
given time. We propose to keep HOM's and any other tenant's
total interim signage at 60~ or less of that allowed by City code
(15% of the East and North walls of the bui7.ding) until the
construction process is over. HOM's intention is to open the
facility for a C1.earance Center:T.o generate business while
designing and remodeling the building.
The signs will all be of. a good quality vinyl or wood and will
have a frame around them to slue them a nice look. 730M is
proposing to have all secured to the builda.ng so no flapping can
be caused by the wind. Once b70M has the exterior and interior
drawings finalized and approved by the City o£ Little Canada,
construction will begin. As one area of construction is
completed, HOM will be forced to move it's product and signs to
l-hat area to allow construction to continue in the none remodeled
area's.
