The City <br /> Administrator reported that search lights are allowed for a five day time <br /> period by temporary sign permit. McCraw expressed concern with rho <br /> cumulative effecC of mulCiple tenants having temporary signage. <br /> Wayne Johansen, T-Iom Furniture, indicated that they are Tooking for 30 <br /> days cumulative for each category of temporary signage for all tenants. <br /> Montour asked for further explanation about the 40% anchor tenant <br /> occupancy issue, 7ohazzsen stated Chat the financial people are concerned <br /> about tike impact o£this requirement on the long-term use and flexibility <br /> for this properly. Blesener noted that the PT.JD would stay in effect ott this <br /> property, and pointed out Chat the requirement is for one major tenant <br /> (40%} in the building. Blesener was concea•zted about the nwnerous <br /> changes t9tat I-Tom was requesting, pointing out that the City is being asked <br /> to change the Code for Mom with few concessions beiaag made on I-Iom's <br /> part. <br /> Johansen stated thaC ITom is trying to proCe>,ct its position relative to future <br /> use of the property. <br /> Blesener indicated that he would be willing to include the existing signage <br /> code into the 1'IJD Agreement for this property. <br /> 'Tlte City Adminishator sunmtarized the City's temporary signage code; <br /> Search lights -allowed for a maximum of 5 days as par[ of a <br /> temporary sign permit; <br /> Multi-tenant buildings - no more than 2 tenants may possess a <br /> temporary sign permit at any given tune; <br /> "Temporary Signs - na more than 4 perntitis izt a calendar year, or a <br /> Cotal of 120 days iu a calendar year, with no more than 60 days to <br /> be used for non-banner temporary signage per business and/or <br /> tenant. <br /> Allan asked about the seasonal outdoor displays. Johansen indicated that <br /> horn would like to have a small area of seasonal patio furniture display. <br /> The T'lartner indicated that a site plan should be submitted showing the <br /> size and location of this display area. <br /> 3 <br /> <br />
