915.170 Parking, Off-Street <br />A. Residential Areas <br />The following parking regulations apply to passenger and commercial vehicles in the R -1, R-2 <br />and R-3 zoning districts as well as housing located in non -residential zoning districts. <br />1. No more than four vehicles or one per licensed driver residing on the premises, whichever <br />is more, may be parked or stored outside on the lot. For the purpose of this clause, a vehicle <br />must be currently licensed and operable, have a capacity of nine or few er passengers or be a <br />truck not exceeding one-ton capacity. <br />2. All exterior parking or storage of passenger and commercial vehicles must occur on a <br />paved driveway or parking pad that meets the standards of Section 915.060. Parking on <br />lawns or unpaved surfaces is prohibited. <br />B. Requirements for Building Permits and Certificates of Occupancy <br />Any new or enlarged building, or a change in the use of a building, shall be required to serve those <br />improvements or changes with parking, loading or bicycle parking as required in this Chapter. <br />C. Minimum Number of Off-Street Parking Spaces Required <br />1. Off-street parking space requirements are established in Table 915-2. <br />2. For uses not listed, the off-street parking requirements shall be established by the Community <br />Development Department based on similar uses and/or authoritative sources accepted by the <br />Department. <br />3. Parking areas shall conform to the requirements of Minnesota State Accessibility Code and <br />parking spaces for persons with disabilities shall be provided and marked in accordance with <br />Minn. R. ch. 1341, Minnesota Accessibility Code. <br />4. For structures containing multiple uses, parking shall be calculated separately for each use. <br />Credit for shared parking is provided in this Section. <br />5.
