MINUTES CITY COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 9, 2009 SAVAGE Mayor Blesener noted the recent article in the Roseville-Little Canada LAKE Review relative to Savage Lalce. He indicated that in the article it appeared there was some question about who controlled the lake. Blesener noted that under State Law enacted in 19901ake eco-systems are controlled by the State with the DNR as the controlling governing body. Blesener noted that this information is available on the DNR web site. CONSENT Mr. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: AGENDA RESOLUTION NO. 2009-9-208 -APPROVING THE CONSENT AGENDA WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: *APPROVING THE VOUCHERS; *APPROVING NUISANCEABATEMENTAT 2573 SPRUCE STREET AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER; *APPROVING NUISANCE ABATEMENT AT 319 SAVAGE LANE AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER; *APPROVING REVISED PARTIAL PAYMENT #4 TO T.A. SCHIFSKYIN THEAMOUNT OF $238,799.73 FOR 2009 IMPROVEMENTS AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ENGINEER; *APPROVING PARTIAL PAYREQUEST #4 TO T.A. SCHIFSKYIN THE AMOUNT OF $2,418.89 FOR 2009 MILL & OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ENGINEER; *APPROVING CHANGE ORDER #2 FOR 2009 MILL & OVERLAY OF VALENTO LANE AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ENGINEER; *AWARD THE LOW QUOTE FOR PAVEMENT MARKING IN THE AMOUNT OF $18,024.10 AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. HAZARDOUS The City Attorney reported that there is a business leasing space at 608 BUILDING County Road D that is engaged in the manufacture of small arms ORllER - ammunition. Consequently, there is storage of significant amounts of 608 COUNTY explosive materials both in loose form and finished product. The building 120AD D has not been designated fora "Hazardous Occupancy" under the re~zlations of the State Pire Code. The building also lacks a sprinkler 2
