MINUTES CITY COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 23, 2009 RESOLUTION NO. 2009-9-223 -APPROVING THE CONSENT AGENDA WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: *APPROVINC THE VOUCHERS; *CALLING A WORKSHOP MEETING TO REVIEW EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ISSUES ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2009AT 6:30 P.M.; *CALLING A WORKSHOP MEETING TO REVIEW THE PRELIMINARY 2010 BUDGET FOR WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2009 AT 6:00 P.M.; *AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE FEE SCHED ULE RELATIVE TO RENTAL HOUSING INSPECTOR LICENSE FEE; *APPROVING CHANGE ORDER #3 WITH T.A. SCHIFSKY FOR THE BROOKS/ARKWRIGHT STREET RECONSTR UCTION IMPROVEMENT; *APPROVING CHANGE ORDER #9 WITH T.A. SCHIFSKY FOR THE SPOONER PARK PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENT; *APPROVING AMENDED HIA DEFERMENT LISTING FOR CANABURYSQUARE CONDOMINIUMS; xAPPROVING THE PURCHASE OFA PICK-UP TRUCK FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AS REQUESTED The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss Ayes (4). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. 2009 The City Administrator reconunended that the Council declare costs IMPROVEMENT relative to the 2009 Improvement Projects and order the preparation PROJECTS - of assessment rolls. He also recommended that assessment hearings DECLARE COSTS, be scheduled for each of the projects, and noted that staff is PREPARE recommending that these hearings be held on Wednesday, October ASSESSMENT 21, 2009. The interest rate recommended for assessments certified ROLLS, CALL to the County for collection with property taxes is 5.25%. ASSESSMENT HEARINGS Keis asked if there are issues of concern with any of the projects. The City Administrator indicated that there are no major issues. There have been some concerns with boulevard restoration and weed control, and the City is working to resolve those.
