MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br /> PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br /> October 1, 2009 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation <br /> Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, was held on the 1 st day of October, <br /> 2009, in the council chambers of the city center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in <br /> said city. <br /> Chair Linda Fahey called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of <br /> the commission were present: <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Ms. Linda Fahey, Chair <br /> Ms. Ruth Stcinwall <br /> Ms. Patti Sullivan <br /> Mr. "I•om Maida <br /> Mr. Dan Slain <br /> Mr. Kevin Steinert <br /> MEMBERS ABSENT: Ms. Katie Lohnaugh <br /> ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Bill Sanders, Park Consultant <br /> Mr. James Morelan, Park & Recreation Director <br /> Ms. Dotty Norgard, Recording Secretary <br /> <br /> MINUTES: Steinwall made a motion to accept the minutes from the September meeting, seconded by <br /> Sullivan. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> OLD <br /> <br /> BUSINESS: THUNllER BAY PARK NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING <br /> Sanders stated the neighborhood meeting to discuss the Concept Plan #1 will be incorporated <br /> with the November Park & Recreation Commission meeting. Morelan stated the city will be <br /> mailing invitations to the residents from the Thunder Bay Park neighborhood. The <br /> neighborhood meeting information will also be included on the city website. Maida <br /> suggested that the Quest for Power group, who initiated the addition of the basketball court, <br /> also be invited to the meeting. Morelan stated he will contact them and include the group in <br /> the invitations. <br /> Sanders explained the Commissioners would gather the information from the neighborhood <br /> meeting and forward to the City Council their recommendations for their suggested <br /> improvements to Thunder Bay Park He said that usually the comments ftom flee <br /> neighborhood residents has had an impact on decisions and also has provided suggested <br /> opportunities for other needs for city parks. <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br />
