<br /> MINUTES <br /> <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br /> OCTOBER 8, 2009 <br /> internal traffic safety issues, and that the current location of the pylon sign <br /> is a reasonable use of the property. <br /> Motion seconded by Barraelough. <br /> Motion carried 6 - 0. Mr. Duray abstained. <br /> CUP FOR Mr. Dave Evans, 182 Ryan Lane, appeared before the Commission <br /> OUTDOOR requesting approval of a Conditional Use Permit to allow open and <br /> STORAGE - outdoor storage on his property. Evans reported that he would like to <br /> 182 RYAN to have a CUP for outdoor storage that would accommodate tenant <br /> LANE - changes without necessitating an amended CUP. Evans reported that <br /> EVANS regardless of his tenants, he would comply with the City's outdoor storage <br /> regulations. Evans reported that there are currently three in his building <br /> and one is changing. Evans submitted a modified site plan as well as a <br /> written document responding to items raised in the City Planner's report. <br /> Knudsen reviewed the City Planner's report in detail, with Evans agreeing <br /> to comply with all recommendations. Knudsen asked about Item 5 related <br /> to storage containers. Evans reported that there are currently no storage <br /> containers on the property. Should any be added in the future, they would <br /> comply with the ordinance. <br /> Knudsen asked about Item 11 related to refuse containers. Evans reported <br /> that refuse containers will be located within the screened storage area. He <br /> noted that these containers may move around within The storage area, <br /> based on the needs of the tenants in the buildings. The City Planner <br /> replied that that was acceptable provided the containers remain within the <br /> screened storage area. <br /> The City Plainer indicated that the only open issue was that of fire access. <br /> The City Clerk reported that it was her understanding that the Fire Marshal <br /> reviewed the site plait and f nds it to be acceptable. <br /> Barraelough asked about the vehicles stored at the back of the building. <br /> Evans reported that those vehicles change over frequently and all are <br /> operable. <br /> Fischer recommended approval of the Conditional Use Permit allowing <br /> outdoor storage for 182 Ryan l:,ane as requested by Dave Evans and based <br /> on the modified site plan, subject to compliance with the <br /> recommendations of the City Plainer. <br /> Motion seconded by Duray. <br /> Motion carried 7 - 0. <br /> -5- <br /> <br />
