MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OCTOBER 14, 2009 RESOLUTION NO. 2009-10-239 -HIRING DWIGHT DAHLEN TO CONDUCT ANAPPRAISAL OF THE ROSEVILLE PLUMBING PROPERTYAT A COST NOT TO EXCEED $3,200 AS RECOMMENDED BY CITYSTAFF The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. ONE-WAY "1'he City Administrator reviewed staff's report dated October 7, 2009 EXEMPTIONS relative to the difficulty with getting refuse and recycling picked up FOR along Sextant Avenue (the portion intersecting with the south end of AUTHORIZED Savage Lane). Due to the one-way restriction on Savage Lane, the VEHICLES trucks caimot service both sides of the street without backing up the SAVAGE LANE entire length of Sextant. The Administrator noted that in reviewing options with the City Attorney, it was his suggestion that allowing aone- way exemption on Savage Lane for certain authorized vehicles would resolve the situation. This is a very short stretch of street with limited traffic If the Council is agreeable to this option, then a sign would be added to street signs announcing the exemption. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION NO. 2009-10-240 - APPROVING A ONE-WAY EXEMPTION FOR AUTHORIZED VEHICLES ON SAVAGE LANE AS RECOMMENDED BY CITY STAFF The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. LCRA Montour reminded the general public that the Little Canada Recreation HALLOWEEN Association will be hosting their annual Halloween Dance on Saturday, DANCE October 24, 2009 at St. John's gymnasium. Tickets will be available at the door. ADJOURN Mr. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2009-9-241-ADJOURNING The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. Ayes (5). Nays (0).
