<br /> MINUTES <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> DECEMBER 16, 2009 <br /> Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOL UTION NO. 2009-12-302 -APPOINTING LINDA FAHEY <br /> AND KATIE LOLMAUGH TO THREE YEAR TERMS ON THE <br /> PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION EXPIRING DECEMBER <br /> 31, 2012 <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br /> Ayes (4). <br /> Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> SCORE Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> GRANT <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2009-12-303 -APPROVING THE 2010 SCORE <br /> FUNDING RECYCLING GRANT AGREEMENT WITH RAMSEY <br /> COUNTY, WITH GRANT FUNDS TO BE RECEIVED IN THE <br /> AMOUNT OF $20,362, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND <br /> CITYADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THEAGREEMENT ON <br /> BEHALF OF THE CITY <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br /> Ayes (4). <br /> Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> OFFER OF The City Attorney noted that the City has been working toward the <br /> JUST acquisition of 2404 Rice Street and 93 County Road B-2 West for the <br /> COMPENSATION purpose of adding a turn lane at the Rice Street/County Road B-2 West <br /> AND intersection. The Attorney noted that this intersection improvement is <br /> ACQUISITION OF needed as a result of the St. Jude Medical expansion as well as due to the <br /> 2404 RICE Rice Street/Highway 36 bridge project. The City Attorney reported that <br /> STREET AND the City has an appraisal for the needed property, and requested that the <br /> 93 COUNTY Council authorize an offer of just compensation for the sites. <br /> ROAD B-2 <br /> WEST 1"he City Administrator reported that there have been on-going discussions <br /> over the past year with the property owner, Continental Baking, relative to <br /> the acquisition of these sites. He noted that the City's appraisal on the <br /> properties is about a year old, however, given stagnant market conditions, <br /> it is still relevant. The appraised value of the properties is $770,000. <br /> Funds for this acquisition would come from the Tax Increment Financing <br /> District, with St. Jude Medical paying any acquisition costs not covered by <br /> the TIF District. <br /> 21 <br /> <br />
