Pechmann stated that he was thinking of businesses that <br /> abut Highway 36 and their ability to utilize dynamic signage on their <br /> buildings. Duray asked if a business along a highway could request a code <br /> amendment relative to message change timing. The Planner replied that a <br /> business could request a text amendment. It was the consensus of the <br /> Commission to address the issue of dynamic sign message timing for <br /> highway signage at the time the issue is raised by a business. <br /> pechmann recommended an Amendment to the Toning Code relative to <br /> the regulation of electronic and dynamic signs as recommended by the <br /> City Planner in his report dated January 8, 2010 providing that letter <br /> height can be no smaller than 6 inches in height and message changes can <br /> occur no quicker than every 10 seconds for those signs along local streets. <br /> Motion seconded by Everson. <br /> Motion carried 5 - 0. <br /> ADJOURN Mr. Duray recommended that the meeting be adjourned. <br /> Motion seconded by Pechmann. <br /> Motion carried 5 - 0. <br /> There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:04 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> r j~ <br /> _ i , <br /> Kathy Gland r <br /> City Clerk <br /> -10- <br /> <br />
