<br /> Connelly Industrial Electronics has worked on our booster station and lift station <br /> <br /> controls for many years and they submitted a bid of $22,842 to complete the work to <br /> <br /> specification. They added that the price might be reduced if some of the removals <br /> and new door installation goes better than expected. <br /> Automatic Systems Company also submitted a bid. They have not done any work in <br /> the Little Canada but they do work for numerous cities im the Twin Cities, including <br /> Lakeville and Fridley. They submitted a bid of $1.7,542 to complete the work to <br /> specification. <br /> T3oth companies also recommended we upgrade one and possibly two of our existing <br /> soft starters. Connelly quoted $4934 per soft starter and Automatic Systems quoted <br /> $5111. per soft staz•ter. We feel we should replace the soft starter for Pump #i bat <br /> the soft starter for Pamp #3 can remain for a few more years. <br /> Therefore, staff recommends that we accept the quote from Automatic Systems <br /> Company to upgrade the booster station controls as specified and replace the soft <br /> started for Pump at a total price of $22,653. The woz•k was budgeted in the water <br /> and sewer capital replacement budget at $23,000. <br /> <br />
