MINUTES CITY COUNCIL FEBRUARY 10, 2010 *9PPROVAL OF PARTIAL PAYREQUEST TO TOWER ASPHALT FOR CONDIT STREET PROJECT AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ENGINEER; *APPROVAL OF INSURANCE AGENCY SERVICE FEE AGREEMENT WITH AMERICANAGENCYANDAUTHORlZING THE MAYOR AND CITYADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. Ayes (5) Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. CALL FOR The City Clerk reviewed her report dated January 27, 2010 recommending PUBLIC that the Council call a public hearing for March 24, 2010 to consider an HEARING increase on the On-Sale Liquor License Pee a~~d the On-Sale Wine LIQUOR Pee in an amount equivalent to the gross levy increase of 3.41 The LICENSE Clerk noted that this proposed increase is based on a five-year policy FEE INCREASE adopted by the Counci] in .Tune of 2006, and 2010 would be the last year of this policy. The Clerk further noted that On-Sale Sunday, Consumption & Display, and Off-Sale Liquor License fees are regulated by State Statute, and the City is at the maximum it can charge for these fees. Staff is not proposing an increase in the 2 a.m. Liquor License, On-Sale or Off-Sale 3.2 Intoxicating Malt Liquor Licenses. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION NO. 2010-2-35 - CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR WEDNESDAY, MARCH 24, 2010 AT 7:30 P.M. TO CONSIDER AN INCREASE IN ON-SALE LIQUOR LICENSE FEE AND ON- SALE WINE LICENSE FEE T'he foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montow~. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. ALCOHOL The City Administrator presented to the Council additional information & relative to alcohol and tobacco fines as requested at the last Cowicil TOBACCO meeting. In comparing these fines to those being charged by surrounding FINE cities, the Administrator indicated that it appears Little Canada has higher SURVEY tobacco violation fines and has more lenient alcohol violation fines.
