MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br /> PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br /> March 4, 2010 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Kecreation <br /> Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, was held on the 4th day of March, <br /> 2010, iu the council chambers of the city center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in <br /> said city. <br /> Chair Linda Fahey called the meeting to order at 7:26 p.m. and the following members of <br /> the commission were present: <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Ms. Linda Fahey, Chair <br /> Ms. Ruth Steinwall <br /> Ms. Patti Sullivan <br /> Mr. Dan Slain <br /> Mr. Tom Maida <br /> Mr. Kevin Steinert <br /> MEMBERS ABSENT: Ms. Katie L,olmaugh <br /> ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Bill Sanders, Park Consultant <br /> Mr. James Morelan, Park & Recreation Director <br /> Ms. Dotty Norgard, Recording Secretary <br /> <br /> MINUTES: Maida made a motion to accept the minutes from the January 7, 2010 meeting, seconded by <br /> Steinwall. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> NEW <br /> BUSINESS: AWARD OF APPRECIATION PLAQUE TO THE LC RECREATION ASSN. <br /> Chair Fahey introduced Tim Zarembinski, President of the Little Canada Recreation <br /> Association. Zarembinski then introduced his wife and 2 daughters. Fahey stated on behalf <br /> of the Little Canada Park & Recreation Commission she was honored to present the plaque <br /> to Zarembinski for the LCRA for their countless contributions to the youth and parks in <br /> Little Canada. She noted many ways they have assisted the city's youth and park system, <br /> especially recognizing the recent contribution of the Skate Board Park, the possible financial <br /> assistance of upgrading the Thunder Bay Park equipment and the subsidizing of the Little <br /> Canada Park & Recreation youth programs. <br /> Zarembinski thanked the Commissioners for the plaque and stated he will betaking the <br /> plaque to their next LCI2~1 meeting. Morelan stated that he did not lalow if the LCRA had <br /> plans of where they would like to hang the plaque but stated they could display it <br /> somewhere at City Hall. <br /> Page 1 of 5 <br /> <br />
