Knudsen asked if there was another way to <br /> accommodate the temporary outdoor storage use. The City Planner stated <br /> that the other way would be to modify the B-3 Zoning District, but <br /> suggested that this would open up all B-3 properties to temporary outdoor <br /> storage <br /> Knudsen noted that there is a willingness on the part of the property owner <br /> to get his property into compliance. Knudsen stated that while the City <br /> Planner suggested allowing temporary storage for three years, he would <br /> like a shorter period of time. Knudsen indicated that he is looking for a <br /> balance of what is fair to all property owners in the City with trying to <br /> accommodate along-term business. <br /> Duray indicated that he would support the three years suggested by the <br /> City Planner, noting that the business has operated long-term in the City <br /> and has intentions of constructing a new building. <br /> Everson noted that Poolside should have its 2010 financial results in early <br /> 2011; and, if profitable, should be able to proceed with the new building. <br /> Everson, therefore, supported a time period for the temporary outdoor <br /> storage through the end of 2011. <br /> Dorn expressed concern with Poolside truck delivery traffic on Jackson <br /> Sriā€¢eet and requested that the appropriate signage (no left turn) be installed <br /> to control this traffic. <br /> Barraclough recommended approval of the Rezoning of 121 County <br /> Road C, Poolside, from General Business (B-3) District to Planned Unit <br /> Development (PUD) District, approval of a PUD Permit for outdoor <br /> display area as proposed, and approval of a PUD Permit for temporary <br /> outdoor storage subject to the following: <br /> o Outdoor storage allowed on the property to the end of 201 I <br /> at which time the property must be compliant with the City <br /> Code; <br /> o Outdoor storage area to be confined to an area no larger <br /> than 16 feet by 40 feet on the west side of the property as <br /> reflected on the site plan submitted; <br /> o Outdoor storage area can be surfaced with Class V; <br /> o Outdoor storage area to be screened with a fence located on <br /> the west property line in the approximate location as <br /> currently exists; <br /> o Screening fence to be repaired and slats to be moved closer <br /> together so fence cannot be seen through; <br /> -10- <br /> <br />
