The City Administrator reported that he would be
contacting the City of Vadnais Heights to determine their interest. The City Administrator noted that a committee
representing elected officials, City staff, and Fire Department
representatives would be formed to establish this funding plan. The
Administrator anticipated that committee appointment would occur at the
April 28°i Council meeting.
The next Action Plan was Develop Animal Control Policy. The City
Administrator asked if the Council was agreeable to the expanded scope of
the policy from what is proposed in the Action Plan. He noted that staff
would be researching this issue and would be bringing a recommendation
to the Council for action later this summer.
Evaluate/Implement Video Surveillance Program to Enhance Crime
Prevention Efforts & Consider Other Potential Uses as discussed. The
Administrator noted that cost details and possible locations would be
identified and information presented to the Council later this summer.
We are still awaiting a letter from the Sheriff outlining his objectives for
this program.
5
