AGREEMENT FOR FIRE INSPECTION SERVICES <br /> <br /> This Agreement made and entered into this day of , 2010 <br /> by and between the City of Little Canada, a Minnesota Municipal <br /> Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "City"), and JPL Fire Inspections, <br /> LLC (hereinafter referred to as "JPL"). <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, wishes to contract with JPL to perform fire inspection and <br /> related services within City's boundaries; and <br /> WHEREAS, James P. Lee, the principal officer of JPL, is duly qualified to <br /> perform said services; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED by and between City <br /> and JPL as follows: <br /> A. SCOPE OF SERVICES: <br /> 1. JPL agrees to provide fire inspection services for City. The City Council <br /> will designate the principal officer of JPL as the City's Fire Marshal during <br /> the term of this Agreement. James P. Lee shall be initially designated as <br /> the Fire Marshal for City following execution of this Agreement. The JPL <br /> principal officer designated as the Fire Marshal (hereinafter, "Fire <br /> Marshal") is authorized to delegate his duties and responsibilities under <br /> this agreement to employees and/or others with whom he contracts who <br /> shall perform such services as he directs under his supervision and <br /> according to the terms of this Agreement. <br /> 2. Except as otherwise specifically set forth herein, fire inspection services <br /> shall only include those types of duties and functions customarily rendered <br /> by fire officials under law and the Minnesota State Fire Code. Said duties <br /> do not include fire investigations performed by JPL in any community <br /> other than Little Canada. <br /> 3. JPL shall conduct on-site inspections of all properties as required by <br /> the applicable fire codes and Minnesota State Statutes to ensure <br /> compliance with same. Inspections of all multi-family structures, schools, <br /> daycare, and group homes shall occur on an annual basis. All business <br /> establishments shall be inspected at least on a bi-annual basis unless, in <br /> the judgment of Fire Marshal, more frequent inspections are warranted. <br /> Except as noted herein, all standards of performance, methods of <br /> providing fire inspection services, as well as other matters incidental to the <br /> performance of services under this Agreement including personnel to be <br /> employed shall be determined by JPL upon consultation with City. <br /> <br />
