MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br /> PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> LITTLF, CANAllA, MINNESOTA <br /> May 6, 2010 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation <br /> Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, was held on the 1st day of April, 2010, <br /> in the council chambers of the city center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in said <br /> city. <br /> Chair Linda Fahey called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of <br /> the commission were present: <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Ms. Linda Fahey, Chair <br /> Ms. Ruth Steinwall <br /> Ms. Patti Sullivan <br /> Ms. Katie Lolmaugh <br /> Mr. Kevin Steinert <br /> Mr. Tom Maida <br /> Mr. Dan Slain <br /> ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Bill Sanders, Park Consultant <br /> Mr. James Morelan, Park & Recreation Director <br /> Ms. Dotty Norgard, Recording Secretary <br /> <br /> MINUTES Lolmaugh made a motion to accept the minutes from the April 1, 2010 meeting, seconded by <br /> Steinwall. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> NEW <br /> BUSINESS PHALEN TRAIL GROUP MEETING <br /> Sullivan reported the group changed the Open House from May 6 to May 20. She will give <br /> us a report at our next meeting. <br /> GRAFFITI ORllINANCE <br /> Morelan stated he had requested copies of graffti ordinances from surrounding cities and <br /> has received copies from two cities. He did a query through the Minnesota Park & <br /> Recreation Assn. to see which cities have an ordinance. He stated that the format is similar <br /> in each stating that both public and private properties with graffiti have seventy-two hours to <br /> be removed. Morelan will put together a draft for our city from the examples he has received <br /> and have it available for the next conunission meeting. The commission would then <br /> approve and send the request to the city council to propose adoption as a city ordinance. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />
