<br /> MINUTT;S <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> APRIL 28, 2010 <br /> The City Administrator reported that the adjustments include <br /> expense/revenue modifications of $79,523 and additional revenue <br /> adjustment of $3,750, for a total adjustment of $83,273. The State is now <br /> cutting a total of $102,371 in MVHC, and most that that cut has now been <br /> addressed by the City. What will happen for 2011 is not yet known, and <br /> the Administrator pointed out that the level of cuts has been a moving <br /> target. He also noted that the State will have to address an additional $5 to <br /> $6 billion deficit for the next biemzium. The Administrator reported City <br /> staff is still working on other potential budget adjustments. The Council <br /> discussed the reallocation of hours for the multi-family patrol position. <br /> The City Administrator indicated that the Sheriff's Department is <br /> comfortable with a reduction in patrol hours, and have suggested more <br /> flexibility as to the per day allocation of these hours in order to optimize <br /> effectiveness. The City Council directed the City Administrator to work <br /> with the Sheriff's Department allocating patrol hours in a way that will be <br /> most effective. <br /> Mr. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2010-4-109 -RATIFYING 2010 BUDGET <br /> ADJUSTMENTS AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY <br /> ADMINISTRATOR AND THE FINANCE DIRECTOR <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br /> Ayes (3). <br /> Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> COMP PLAN "fhe City Planner reported that the Metropolitan Council has <br /> acknowledged that the City's Comprehensive Plan submission is a <br /> complete submittal. The Met Council will be conducting its formal review <br /> of the document atzd will report its findings later this summer. <br /> BRYAN The City Administrator began a review of his Apri] 23, 2010 report <br /> STREIJT relative to street width for Bryan Street as well as the City's street width <br /> policy. The Administrator reviewed the City Engineer's proposal fora 24- <br /> foot street width adjacent to the house at the northwest corner of Bryan <br /> Street and Jackson Street given the limited setback of this house. "the <br /> sri•eet would then widen to 28 feet after that lot and decrease to 24 feet at <br /> the connection to Boss Road to match that street width. The City <br /> Administrator reported that the neighborhood has petitioned fora 24-foot <br /> street width due to aesthetics, hee impact, limited traffic volume, and a <br /> resulting savings of $8,800 in improvement costs. <br /> 13 <br /> <br />
