MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
APRIL 28, 2010
pavement widths. However, one issue of consideration is on-street
parking, and it is recommended that pavement widths of 24 feet or less
have on-street parking restricted on at least one side of the street.
Mr. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2010-4-110 -REDUCING THE STREET WIDTH
FOR BRYAN STREET FROM THE CITY ENGINEER'S
RECOMMENDATION OF 28 FEET TO 26 FEET, RESULTING IN 24
FEET AT THE FIRST PROPERTY ON BRYAN AND JACKSON
STREETS, 26 FEET ALONG THE REMAINDER OF BRYAN
STREET, AND BACK TO 24 FEET AS BRYAN STREET CONNECTS
TO BOSS ROAD, AND FURTHER DIRECTING THE USAGE OF
SURMOUNTABLE CURBING ALONG BRYAN STREET
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss.
Ayes (3).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
Blesener stated that while he does not totally support the reduction in
pavement width, he supports the recommendations of the City
Administrator and City );ngineer. His only concern is for the setting of a
precedent. Council Member Boss felt it was a good thing that the Council
took into consideration the desires of the neighborhood.
ROSEVILLE The City Administrator reported that the owners of the Roseville
PLUMBING Plumbing property have agreed to enter into a Purchase Agreement with
PURCHASE & the City for the acquisition of their property. The Purchase Agreement
OCCUPANCY and purchase price are reflective of the parameters discussed by the
AGREEMENTS Council. Roseville Plumbing has requested to occupy the property until
August 1, 2010; therefore, an Occupancy Agreement is also before the
Council for approval. There are also a few issues related to sellers'
warranties that need to be resolved.
The City Administrator reported that the property owners would like to
close by May 14, 2010, but given the need for the City to do its normal
due diligence on the property, that closing date may be somewhat
aggressive. The Administrator recommended approval of both the
Purchase Agreement and the Occupancy Agreement subject to any
modifications by the City Attorney and the Roseville Plumbing attorney.
Should any changes be significant, the agreements would be brought back
to the Council for approval.
Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
18
