<br /> MINUTES <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> APRIL 28, 2010 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2010-4-111-APPROVING THE ROSEVILLE <br /> PLUMBING PROPERTY PURCHASE AGREEMENT AND <br /> OCCUPANCYAGREEMENTSURJECT TO ANY MODIFICATIONS <br /> REQUIRED BYROSEVILLE PLUMBING AND APPROVED BY TILE <br /> CITYATTORNEYAND THEROSEVILLEPLUMBINGATTORNEY, <br /> AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITYADMINISTRATOR <br /> TO EXECUTE THE DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY, <br /> WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THAT ANY CHANGES OF A <br /> SIGNIFICANT NATURE WILL BE BROUGHT BACK TO THE <br /> COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br /> Ayes (3). <br /> Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> FIRIiJ The City Achninistrator reported that Jim Lee resigned as the City's full- <br /> MARSHAL time Fire Marshal in March of this year due to some issues with PERA <br /> CONTRACT benefits. The City is now proposing to hire .TPL Fire Inspections, LLC to <br /> provide fire marshal services to the City of Little Canada. Services are <br /> based on approximately 20 hour per week. Jim Lee is the president of .TPL <br /> Tire Inspections. 1'he City Administrator noted that the change will <br /> reduce City budget expenses. <br /> The City Administrator presented a contract with JPL Fire Inspections, <br /> and reported that the City Attorney assisted in the drafting of this contract <br /> to ensure that the arrangement meets the requirements of independent <br /> conh•actor status versus employment status. He noted that the contract <br /> needs to be reviewed and approved by PERA. The conh•act effective date <br /> is planned for May 1, 2010, pending these approvals. <br /> Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2010-4-IIZ -APPROVING THE CONTRACT <br /> WITH JPL FIRE INSPECTIONS, LLC SUBJECT TD APPROVAL OF <br /> PERA, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY <br /> ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT ON BEHALF <br /> OF THE CITY <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br /> Ayes (3). <br /> Nays (0).
