<br /> MINUTES <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> JUNE 10, 201.0 <br /> Duray asked the size of the container and the frequency in which it is <br /> dumped. Wilson estimated the size at 6 or 7 feet wide and 20 or 25 feet <br /> long. He indicated that the container is emptied using a forked ll•uck to <br /> remove full chip barrels. <br /> Duray began a review of the issues outlined in the City Planner's reporC <br /> dated June 3, 2010. Item #3 -storage of the utility trailer in the front of <br /> the building was an issue. The City Planner reported that Code does not <br /> allow the trailer to be located in front of the building line and the adjoining <br /> public street or the side building line and a public sheet on a corner not. <br /> Wilson reported that he is agreeable to moving the trailer behind the <br /> building. <br /> Another issue to be addressed was Item #7 that the Fire Marshal review <br /> the plan to verify compliance with fire code requirements. Wilson <br /> indicated that this would be done prior to the City Cowicil meeting. With <br /> regard to Item 8, height of storage, Wilson indicated that the storage <br /> container was 7 to 8 feet in height. The City Planner reported that that <br /> height complied with Code requirements. Wilson also reported that his <br /> long-term plan is to plant screening materials on three sides of the storage <br /> container and paint it a light color to match his building. <br /> Duray asked how often the dumpster was dmnped. Wilson replied that is <br /> was dumped weekly and that it is always located behind the building and <br /> is not visible from the street. <br /> Duray asked if the storage area was surfaced with blacktop. Wilson <br /> replied that it was. <br /> Duray asked about parking. The City Planner indicated that the pa~•king <br /> plan is more than adequate and there is room on the site for additional <br /> parking if need be. <br /> Duray asked about Item #15 relative to lighting. Wilson reported that <br /> there is a light on the rear of the building as well as a light pole adjacent to <br /> the back of the building. The Planner recommended that the existing <br /> lighting be shown on the site plan. <br /> Duray recommended approval of the PUD Permit for outdoor storage of a <br /> dumpster, utility trailer, and storage container at 3152 Country Drive <br /> subject to compliance with the recommendations of the City Planner as <br /> outlined in his report dated June 3, 2010 including the conditions that the <br /> utility trailer be moved to the back of the building, the Fire Marshal <br /> <br />
