MINUTI?S

PLANNING COMMISSION

JULY I5, 2010
could not guarantee when that would happen. He noted that this client
will also have a certain amount of indoor storage space. The City Planner
pointed out that the indoor presence would need to be an office use of
some sort.
Fischer asked if there would be annual inspections of the storage. The
City Planner recommended that, if approved, the City tie the approval to
the standards spelled out in the I-1 District and require an annual outdoor
storage license. [1s a result, there would be annual inspections of the
property. The City Planner also noted that the City would have control
given its ability to revoke the outdoor storage license and/or PUD Permit
as well as refuse to renew the outdoor storage license should there be
enforcement problems on this property.
Duray asked if Mr. Johnson was still agreeable to the conditions of
approval tied to the 2008 PUD Permit. Johnson replied that he was. The
City Planner noted that some of the conditions have already been met, and
others would be met with the building additions were constructed. The
Planner noted that PUD Permits are good for one year, and if no action is
taken on them in that year, they lapse. The property owner has the option
of requesting extensions of a PUD Permit approval. Mr. Johnson asked if
the PUD Permit for the building additions could be valid for 24 to 30
months.
Mr. Duray recommended approval of the re-issuance of the previous PUD
Permit amendment granted on June 25, 2008 for the construction of
building expansions at 3213 Country Drive for a period of two years
subject to the conditions as outlined in the following City Council
resolution:
RESOLUTIONNO. 2008-6-758 -APPROVING THE AMENDMENT
TO PUD PERMIT ALLOWING FOR THE EXPANSION OFAN
EXISTING METAL BUILDING USING SIMILAR MATERIALS TO
PROVIDE FOR NEW OFFICE AND RESTROOM SPACE AS WELL
AS INCREASE WAREHOUSE SPACEAT 3225 COUNTRYDRIVE,
DRYWALL SUPPLY, SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE
RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITYPLANNER AS OUTLINED IN
HIS REPORT DATED JUNE 6, 2008, WITH THE ADDITIONAL
CONDITION THAT THE LOWER SAND OF THE BUILDING
MATERIALS MUST BE BRICK VENEER, SUBJECT TO
COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY
ENGINEER AS OUTLINED IN HIS REPORT DATED JUNE 4, 2008,
WITH MR.
