While detailed signage plans have not <br /> been submitted, the Planner indicated that it appears signage will be under <br /> the maximums allowed. Montour suggested that there be some brick on <br /> the pylon sign structure matching the building. Politz indicated that he has <br /> not seen the detailed sign plans. '1 he City Planner reported that a sign <br /> permit would be processed at staff level as long as the signage met the <br /> Code as well as Architectural Guidelines. Blesener pointed out that the <br /> City is looking for signage that is architecturally pleasing. <br /> Montour asked about the use of EFIS as well as materials used for the <br /> awnings. Politz replied that EFIS is proposed on the building and the <br /> awnings would be canvas. Keis stated that he liked the brick and the <br /> awnings, but questioned the color. He indicated that he was looking for a <br /> building that would age well. Politz replied that the building materials are <br /> sustaurable and along-lasting quality product. He suggested that the <br /> colors on the diagrams may be a little more yellow than they actually are. <br /> Boss felt the building looked good. <br /> There was no one else from the general public present wishing to <br /> comment on this matter. <br /> iJpon motion by Montour, seconded by McGraw, the public hearing was <br /> closed. <br /> Mr. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2010-7--164 -APPROVING THE <br /> ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW FOR THE SUBWAY RESTAURANT AT <br /> 85 WEST VIKING DRIVE, SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AND THE CITY <br /> ENGINEER <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br /> Ayes (5). <br /> Nays (0).
