MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JULY 14, 2010 'The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. DRYWALL The City Planner reported that Drywall Supply has applied for SUPPLY PUD Permits relative to outdoor storage and building expansion, and a special meeting of the Planning Commission will be held Thursday, .iuly I S°' with the matter coming before the Council at its July 28 meeting. ALCOHOL The City Administrator reported that based on previous Council FINE discussion relative to fines for alcohol violations and the City Attorney's POLICY recommendation that rather than amending the Alcohol Ordinance, a Fine Policy be adopted, City staff is submitting a policy for Council review and action. This policy is based on that used by the City of Maplewood and is as follows: 151 Violation $500 Fine 2"~ Violation $1,000 Fine 3`d Violation $2,000 Fine 4°i Violation License Revocation `Violation levels would be determined based on a 36-month Look-back period. 'fhe City Administrator noted the City Attorney's position that a Pine Policy gives the City Council flexibility to consider mitigating circumstances relative to the violation. Mr. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2010-7-767 -ADOPTING THE ALCOHOL VIOLATION FINE POLICY AS OUTLINED BY CITY STAFF '1 he foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. NUISANCE The City Administrator reported on a long grass and debris nuisance ABATEMENT- at 253) Morrison Avenue, and recommended authorization to proceed 2539 with abatement.
