MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JULY 14, 2010 RESOLUTION NO. 2010-7-168 -AUTHORIZING NUISANCE ABATEMENT AT 2539 MORRISONAVENUE AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY STAFF The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. ROSEVILLE The City Administrator reported that as part of the City's purchase of the PLUMBING Roseville Plumbing property, the City was allowing Roseville Plumbing to OCCUPANCY occupy the property until August 1, 2010. They have requested an AGREEMENT extension to September 1, 2010. The Administrator noted that given that the City has no immediate need for the property, there would be no reason not to allow the occupancy for another month. However, property taxes would need to be pro-rated accordingly. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2010-7--169 -AMENDING THE ROSEVILLE PLUMBING OCCUPANCYAGREEMENT TOALLOW FOR THEIR OCCUPANCY OF THE PROPERTYAT 167 SOUTH OWASSO BLVD. UNTIL SEPTEMBER 1, 2010 AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. VALOR The City Administrator reported that the City Attorney has requested TRIAL authorization to attend the Valor trial which will be held in early August. The Administrator noted that the League of MN Cities is representing the City in this litigation. The attendance by the City Attorney would be at the City's cost. The City Administrator suggested that there may be benefit to the City from the City Attorney's attendance. The Administrator estimated the cost at $1,600 to $2,000 if the trial were to last two days.
