MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL

JULY 28, 2010
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
LAWFUL The City Clerk reviewed her report dated July 22, 2010 relative to updates
GAMBLING to the City's Lawful Gambling Ordinance. The Clerk noted that these
ORDINANCE updates are housekeeping in nature and follow the State's amendments
relative to perpetual licensing, clarifying the City's issuance of
organizational licenses, clarifying Council review of licenses, and
removing the requirement that annual audits be prepared by a CPA.
Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOL UTION NO. 2010-7--181- APPROVING THE AMENDMENTS
TO THE CITY'S LAWFUL GAMBLING ORDINANCE AS
RECOMMENDED BY CITY STAFF
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
WATER The City Administrator reviewed the Public Works Superintendent's
ORDINANCE report dated July 22, 2010 recommending updates to the City's Water
AMENDMENT Ordinance. Many of these updates are housekeeping in nature. One
change, however, addresses the City's ability to enter a house without a
search warrazzt when there is a water leak inside the house. Currently, the
City would have to obtain an administrative search warrant to enter the
house and turn off the water. This amendment would give the City the
ability to do so without the warrant, and would only be used with water
could not be turned off at the curb stop.
The City Attorney reported that the amendment is acceptable and would
allow the City entrance in emergency situations.
Mr. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2010-7-182 -APPROVING THE AMENDMENTS
OT THE CITY'S WATER ORDINANCE AS RECOMMENDED BY
CITYSTAFF
14
