MINUTES

CITY COUNCIL

JDLY 28, 2010
segregation of duties. This relates to the City's small staff in its finance
department, and a situation that likely cannot be eliminated.
Moeller reported that there were no disagreements with management nor
difficulties encountered in performing the audit. She also reported that
there is a new GASB Statement No. 54 that will be required for the year
ending December 31, 201 ] . This requirement will require some changes
in how fund balances are reported creating five new categories.
Blesener noted that audit results indicate that the City is in good financial
condition. Moeller agreed.
Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2010-7-173 -ACCEPTING THE 2009 A UDIT
REPORT AS PREPARED BY THE CITYAUDITOR, TAUTGES
REDPATH
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
PUD PERMITS - Mayor Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider the request
3213 COUNTRY of Carl Johnson for Amendment to PUD Permit for the interim
DRIVE - outdoor storage of construction materials for anon-resident tenant
DRYWALL as well as 1xtension of a previous PiJD Permit Amendment granted
SUPPLY on June 25, 2008 for the construction of building expansions at the
Drywall Supply property located at 3213 Country Drive. Blesener noted
that the City Planner and the Planning Commission recommended
approval subject to conditions.
The City Planner reported that a 2008 PIJD Permit issued for this property
granted approval to construct a couple of additions onto the south building
on the site. These building additions were not constructed, the PUD
Permit has lapsed and Mr. Johnson is requesting extension of the PUD
Permit at this time. Additionally, Mr. Johnson is requesting that the PUD
Permit for his property be amended to allow the interim outdoor storage of
lumber materials by anon-resident tenant in the south area of the property.
The City Planner noted that City Code for the industrial districts allow for
outdoor storage ofresident-tenants by interim use permit without that
tenant occupying building space. Mr. Johnson's prospective tenant does
not operate a business in Little Canada, therefore, is considered a non-
resident business.
4
