<br /> MINUTES <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> AUGUST 12, 2010 <br /> the intent of which is to upgrade the current freestanding sign guidelines <br /> related to appearance and materials. <br /> Duray noted that there is not a lot of difference in the recommendations <br /> between the commercial area and The Rice Street/Little Canada Road area. <br /> The Planner agreed noting that the primary difference is that there is <br /> greater emphasis on monument signs in the Rice Sh~eet/Little Canada <br /> Road area. <br /> Fischer stated that the recommendations help to clarify what the City is <br /> looking for and do not seem overly burdensome to property owners. <br /> Fischer recommended approval of the Amendments to Architectural <br /> Guidelines related to architectural treatments for freestanding/pylon signs <br /> as outlined in the City Planners report dated August 5, 2010. <br /> Motion seconded by Everson. <br /> Motion carried 4 - 0. <br /> COMP PLAN The City Planner indicated that the City's Comp Plan update has been <br /> accepted by the Metropolitan Council and adopted by the City Council. <br /> The Ylan will be on the City's web site shorfly and hard copies will be <br /> distributed to the Commissioners. <br /> ADJOURN Mr. Fisher recommended the meeting be adjourned. <br /> Motion seconded by Everson. <br /> Motion carried 4 - 0. <br /> There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:37 p.m. <br /> Respectfully sub ~ ed, <br /> Kathy Gla{i~r <br /> City Cierk <br /> -16- <br /> <br />
